The Role
Are you looking for a diverse and impactful Accountant role? From ensuring local compliance requirements (including SOX), to strict adherence to quality and attention to detail – we're looking for a Junior Accountant who knows that numbers have meaning.
Reporting to our Regional Accountant, you will work as part of a small, high-performing team to support our North American operations. You are a ‘all rounder’ with a diverse skillset and an outstanding ability to communicate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders and our clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Senior Accountant with the monthly closing process, including reconciliation of prepayments, fixed assets, bank accounts and revaluation of foreign currency assets and liabilities.
- Payroll for US and Canada operations
- Setting up of clients and job estimates in the accounting system
- Working with the production and sales teams to agree job budgets and raise client invoices
- Follow up on overdue accounts receivable invoices with internal sales as well as with clients directly
- Review of new supplier requests to ensure they meet SOX guidelines
- Monthly HST preparation and submission

Our Qualifications and Experience Wishlist
- CPA designation (CMA, CA or CGA) advantageous but not essential
- Post-secondary education in accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Competent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

- The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $50,000 to $60,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications
- Fixed-term position with the potential to transition into a permanent role, subject to business needs and individual performance.
